| How do i deal with a fraudulent contest? So, i was in this bikini contest between since May. I paid $30 as a submission fee. The contest ended on July 2nd and the winner was supposed to be announced the day of. It was supposed to be held at the Hard Rock hotel in San Diego. So, i drove from Los Angeles to SD for the contest. When i got there...i was informed that the contest was extended because, all of the girls weren't wearing bikinis in all of their photos...including me. A week later i got an email saying we all had to submite new profiles with 3-5 bikini pictures and they would be posted on the 12th of July. I did all of that on the 10th. And still, the new profiles have not been created. The reason why i am asking this is because, i won the contest originally. The prize was for $500 and a guitar. So, i want my winnings...what should i do? |

| I was doing the Roxy Bikini Design Contest, and when I tried to submit my picture, it said I needed to resize.? I did resize, the picture, less than 300k like it said. My picture was about 295kb. It kept saying the pic was the wrong size, so I went to log out and log back in and try again. Now when I click on the upload link, it takes me to the rules page!!! Help! Was my picture uploaded? I really want to be in the contest! I don't know what to do!!!! |

| I was asked to model or pose for pictures.? A man asked me at a restaurant that I work out to have some head shots taken by him for free and that he wants to enter me into a contest that will be at one of the casino's in Biloxi in March. He wants to get me ready and pictures taken now to help me build my portfolio and he wants to help me for free but the thing is I never have thought about modeling I always feel fat and I don't think i'm that pretty. He said I have all the right features cause i'm tall with prominent face features like my large eyes people always comment on. He said that once i'm in the contest in march that even if I don't win that I will probably get some cash prizes that will help pay for college and maybe get signed with a model agency. I'm scared to get in a bikini at that contest and compete with all those skinny girls. I'm 125 5'7 girl but i'm not as skinny as I look I can't run around in my bikini and expect to win! But I need the money. My boss checked him out so he's legit we know all the people that he does photography for so he's legit but it's just a big decision. Should I do it? |
| I'm a female model and if there is something I know about modeling that it's a scam or a way of getting something from you. They can't promise any job or wins. However depending the state it varies to be real or not. If you live in a high fashion industry area it might be real but I wouldn't sign anything from them. Take the advice and meet with an agency yourself. Hope that helps a bit. |
